About the role
St. Louis Catholic School is seeking part‑time Substitute Teachers for the 2026‑2027 school year to fill in for classroom teachers during temporary absences.
Key responsibilities
- Follow lesson plans and guidance provided by the regular classroom teacher.
- Supervise students between 7:30 am and 3:30 pm, ensuring safety and appropriate behavior.
- Assist students in supervised activities and reinforce positive behavior management procedures.
- Communicate any concerns to the Principal or Assistant Principal and maintain confidentiality.
Required profile
- Support the philosophy of Catholic education and the school’s mission.
- Dependable, high school diploma or equivalent.
- Complete required trainings (Standard Response Protocol, Bloodborne Pathogens, Child Abuse).
- Submit Ethics and Integrity in Ministry (EIM) application and complete EIM abuse‑prevention workshop within 60 days.
Required skills
- Effective communication with students, parents, and staff.
- Ability to follow directions and handle multiple tasks.
