Substitute Guitar Teacher (Part‑time)

About the role

Ensemble Schools is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic substitute guitar instructor to teach in‑person at The Music Shop in Boonton, New Jersey. This part‑time position allows you to set your own availability within the school’s open hours while providing consistent, high‑quality lessons to young musicians.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver private guitar lessons to students of various ages and skill levels.
• Prepare and follow lesson plans aligned with the school’s curriculum.
• Maintain punctuality and reliable attendance for scheduled sessions.
• Communicate student progress to parents and school staff.
• Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.

Required profile

• Degree in music performance, pedagogy, or equivalent professional experience.
• Demonstrated passion for teaching and experience working with young musicians.
• Reliable transportation and ability to pass a routine background check.
• Strong commitment to punctuality and consistency.
