Submarine Electronic Warfare (EW) Systems Technician

About the role

Amentum is looking for a Submarine Electronic Warfare (EW) Systems Technician to support submarine modernization efforts in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The position is on-site, with no relocation assistance, and is contingent on finding a candidate whose expertise matches the company's strategic needs before a funded role is formally opened. It suits people who want to move from a military to a civilian career while continuing to serve national security.

Key responsibilities

• Install, monitor and service SWFTS Tech-Insertion and APB cycles of AN/BLQ-10 ESM systems at Naval sites.
• Perform hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration and testing of electronic warfare equipment.
• Support engineering teams with system upgrades, certifications and validations to keep submarines mission-ready.
• Review change proposals and execute Engineering Change Instructions.

Required profile

• Active Secret US Government clearance (US citizenship required to maintain it).
• Mid-level: high school diploma/GED and 5 years of practical experience, or a degree/electronics training plus 3 years; Senior-level: 10 years of practical experience, or a degree/electronics training plus 6 years.
• Experience maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing C5I and/or NC3 systems, and installing, maintaining or repairing equipment.
• Experience designing, preparing and modifying engineering documents and drawings.
• Ability to travel as required.

Preferred qualifications

• Knowledge of multiple submarine platforms and SWFTS systems.
• SSEP ESM Groom Team experience and former Navy submarine or EW technicians.
• Direct experience with AN/BLQ-10 systems.
• Background in sonar, radar, cryptologic or tactical communications systems.
