Studio Potter – Production & Workshop Specialist

About the role
We are looking for a skilled Studio Potter to join our Woodstock studio. You will be part of the production team, creating high‑quality pottery pieces, maintaining the studio environment, and leading interactive wheel workshops for visitors.
Key responsibilities
- Throw, hand‑build and finish assigned pottery pieces efficiently while maintaining quality.
- Load and unload kilns, and assist with glazing, waxing, and other production areas as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe studio by following cleaning procedures and schedules.
- Engage with customers during open studio hours, answer questions, and promote the Farmhouse Pottery brand.
- Teach and manage wheel workshops, preparing materials, guiding participants, and handling post‑workshop finishing.
- Accurately record output against work orders.
Required profile
- Prior experience with pottery wheel throwing; candidates must demonstrate skills in an interview.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Attention to detail and willingness to work 40+ hours per week, including weekends.
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 lb, stand for long periods, and move around the studio.
