Strategy Project Leader

About the role

The Strategy Project Leader drives high‑impact strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, to support the bank’s growth and competitive positioning. Working closely with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams, you will ensure that each project aligns with the organization’s long‑term objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate strategic opportunities, especially M&A prospects, in partnership with business heads.
• Develop and execute merger strategies, including financial projections, risk assessments, and integration plans.
• Conduct comprehensive market, industry, and competitive analyses to inform decision‑making.
• Create detailed business cases and strategic plans for high‑value initiatives.
• Provide data‑driven recommendations to senior management and guide high‑value investment decisions.
• Lead change‑management efforts during integrations, ensuring clear communication and cultural alignment.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the strategy team and other departments throughout the merger process.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading complex strategic projects, preferably in banking or financial services.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize large data sets into actionable insights.
• Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated judgment in making high‑impact decisions under uncertainty.
