Strategic Account Manager – East

About the role

Dematic, a Kion Group company, is looking for an experienced Strategic Account Manager to grow its regional business across the Eastern United States. The role focuses on large, complex opportunities that require integrated, software‑rich supply chain solutions and close collaboration with senior supply‑chain executives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic account penetration plans for targeted accounts in at least one key vertical market.
• Qualify new opportunities, coordinate with solution development, project management, engineering, and finance to deliver optimal solutions.
• Present value propositions, complex ROI analyses, and negotiate multi‑million‑dollar contracts with C‑suite stakeholders.
• Manage high‑revenue opportunities to meet revenue and margin targets and provide recommendations to improve volume, market share, and pricing.

Required profile

• BS/BA in a related discipline; engineering degree is a plus.
• 12+ years of successful experience selling complex, technical solutions to distribution or logistics companies.
• Proven ability to negotiate large deals ($20M+ projects) at the executive level.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Salesforce.
• Training in strategic selling methodology (Miller Heiman) preferred.
• Experience with supply‑chain execution software.
