Store Manager

About the role

The Home Depot is hiring a Store Manager for its Savannah store. The Store Manager leads profitable store operations and executes the company's retail strategy around customer service, in-stock availability and store appearance. The role reports to the District Manager and has 4-9 direct reports.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the District Manager and District team to set the store's direction, run store walks and town hall and staff meetings, and coach associates on sales, service and profitability.
• Analyze sales and financial reports, shrink and safety performance, and use them to guide the store team toward improvement.
• Teach and coach store management and leadership teams on operational processes, merchandising standards, store appearance and a safe, excellent workplace.
• Support pilot programs and new store initiatives, evaluate in-stock levels and drive clearance and reduced-tag processes to maximize inventory turns.
• Monitor associate engagement and employer-of-choice initiatives, and build a bench of future store leaders.

Required profile

• Able to work a flexible, minimum 55-hour week.
• At least 2 years of prior merchandising and/or operational experience, and 2 years of leadership experience, preferably in retail.
• High school diploma or GED; no additional education required.
• Legally permitted to work in the United States; age 18 or older.
• Intermittent physical activity such as walking, standing and lifting; occasional mild discomfort indoors.
