Store Manager

About the role

Hot Topic is looking for a Store Manager in Madison to lead its store and drive results. The manager sets the store's direction, leads the team, and delivers strong customer service in the mall. The position is full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Help the store achieve its sales plan and comparable sales goals
• Recruit, develop and retain a collaborative team, mentoring staff through recognition and feedback
• Create customer engagement through social media, store web applications and clienteling
• Run an operationally sound business with clear structure, delegation and autonomy
• Watch over shrink, loss prevention, payroll hours and schedules
• Work with retail leadership and HQ on trends and customer feedback, and run sales reports to guide strategy
• Manage supply ownership and spend, and adapt to new technologies
• Merchandise the store using planograms and launch promos on time

Required profile

• At least 1-2 years of retail store management experience
• High school diploma or GED equivalent; a degree is an advantage
• Open-minded and curious about pop culture fandoms and music trends
• Able to move around the store, merchandise products with approved equipment and pack and unpack boxes weighing up to 50 pounds
