Store Experience Intern - Summer 2027

About the role

Meijer offers an 11-week Store Support Internship program for college students, designed to give them a well-rounded retail educational experience. Interns lead a project that impacts the customer or team member experience, and the program includes projects, final presentations to senior executives, an executive speaker series, training, networking events and interaction with senior leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a project that improves the customer or team member experience
• Develop competencies in research, leadership and presentation skills
• Gain a clear understanding of store support operations, with possible exposure to store operations, store support training and store fulfillment

Required profile

• Student currently enrolled in an academic degree program, considering a career in retail
• Progress toward a Bachelor's degree in Management, Operations or a related field
• Past retail or customer service experience strongly preferred
• Past leadership responsibilities in work or extracurricular activities preferred
• Action-oriented, focused on the financial impact of projects, with strong communication and relationship skills

Required skills

• Experience with digital devices, applications and analytics to access and manage information
• Research, leadership and presentation skills
