Store Director - South Indianapolis Market

About the role

Meijer is hiring a Store Director for its South Indianapolis market. This is a bench position, so the candidate must be willing to work at any store in the South Indianapolis area. The director is accountable for retail team members at all levels and for the total operation of the store, maximizing the company's financial success while maintaining operational and merchandising standards.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze financial data, maximize sales and maintain fiscal responsibility
• Provide excellent customer service throughout store operations
• Mentor and coach all team members and leaders so that goals are met and exceeded
• Keep the store properly staffed with well-trained team members and develop existing ones
• Maintain corporate, safety and regulatory procedures for a safe and stable work environment
• Cultivate relationships in the local community to support the Meijer brand

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent retail experience
• 5 years of retail/service industry experience
• 3 years of leadership experience, including managing leaders with direct reports
• Minimum 3 years of retail leadership experience; General Merchandise and Grocery/Fresh experience preferred
• Experience leading a retail or service operation with at least $40 million in annual sales revenue (single or multi-unit)
