Store Director - Escanaba, MI

About the role

Meijer is looking for a Store Director for its Escanaba, Michigan location. The Store Director is accountable for team members at all levels and for the total operation of the store, ensuring the best possible shopping experience for customers, maintaining operational and merchandising standards and maximizing the company's financial success.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze financial data, maximize sales and maintain fiscal responsibility
• Provide excellent customer service throughout store operations
• Mentor and coach all team members and leaders so goals are met and exceeded
• Keep the store properly staffed with well-trained team members and develop existing ones
• Maintain corporate, safety and regulatory procedures for a safe and stable work environment
• Cultivate relationships in the local community to support the Meijer brand

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent retail experience
• 5 years of retail/service industry experience
• 3 years of leadership experience, including managing leaders with direct reports
• Minimum 3 years of retail leadership experience, with general merchandise and grocery/fresh experience preferred
• Experience leading a retail or service operation with at least $40 million in annual sales revenue (single or multi-unit)
• Able to obtain and hold the licenses required for the store's operations
• Ability to lift, carry and perform other physical acts
