About the role

The Steward (Dishwasher) ensures the kitchen runs smoothly by maintaining clean dishes, utensils, and work areas. This position supports food service operations and contributes to guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

  • Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pans using dishwashing equipment.
  • Store clean items in designated areas and keep kitchen workstations orderly.
  • Stock supplies at serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators and salad bars.
  • Sweep, mop floors and manage trash removal.
  • Assist with food preparation during staffing shortages or peak periods.

Required profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous stewarding or dishwasher experience or equivalent training.

Required skills

  • Operation of commercial dishwashing machines and kitchen cleaning equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lb, stand for long periods and perform repetitive motions.
