Sterilization Technician

About the role

The Texas A&M College of Dentistry is seeking a Sterilization Technician to manage the cleaning, sterilization, and distribution of dental equipment and supplies. This full‑time, on‑site position supports students and faculty by ensuring that all instruments are ready for clinical use.

Key responsibilities

• Sterilize dental handpieces, instruments, and accessories using ultrasonic cleaners, washers, and both small and large autoclaves.
• Transport equipment to and from the central sterilization area and conduct biological and DART tests to verify cycle efficacy.
• Prepare and package procedure‑specific kits and student instrument sets.
• Maintain inventory by barcoding items, tracking usage in computer systems, and performing regular stock counts.
• Dispense clinical supplies, materials, and instruments to students and staff as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; combination of education and experience accepted.
• Ability to work independently and follow strict infection‑control protocols.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Preferred: Certified Sterilization credential.

What we offer

• Hourly wage of $17.78
• Full‑time schedule: Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑5 pm
• On‑site work in Dallas, Texas
