Station Cook (Full-Time)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Station Cook to join Pasta Ramen, an innovative Italian-Japanese fusion restaurant in Montclair, New Jersey. As part of the kitchen team you will support the head chef in preparing high-quality dishes that blend Italian and Japanese flavors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients – peel, cut, portion fresh produce and meat according to chef instructions.
• Assemble simple dishes such as breads, salads, and basic plates.
• Mix and prepare condiments, dressings, and sauces.
• Assist with unloading, inspecting, and storing raw ingredients and supplies.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, food-handling and hygiene standards.
• Perform additional kitchen tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Prior experience in a kitchen or culinary environment.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques.
• Understanding of food safety, sanitation and workplace safety regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced team.
• Willingness to work late nights, unpredictable hours and stand for long periods.
