StaffFlex SPCU RN Nights Contract (36 Hours/Week)

About the role

AdventHealth in Daytona Beach, Florida is hiring a StaffFlex SPCU registered nurse for night shifts on a PRN basis, working 36 hours per week. The pay is $73 per hour plus shift differential, within a stated range of $15 to $130.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients, analyze assessment data and develop individualized, evidence-based plans of care, then implement interventions safely and document them.
• Collect and document patient health data systematically and on time.
• Collaborate with the team to promote timely patient placement, following hospital policy for admission, discharge and transfer.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and educate patients and families on their conditions, procedures and care plans.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians and staff, and ensure safe handoff communication and documentation.
• Follow CDC isolation guidelines, use PPE correctly, perform hand hygiene and enforce safety regulations.
• Participate in peer interviewing and review, quality and safety initiatives, and act as a patient advocate.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN).
• 2 years of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting.
• Associate's degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Fluent in English, read, spoken and written.
• High-level abstract reasoning to assess patients and revise plans of care; basic computer skills with Microsoft Windows programs.

Required skills

• CPR certification (BLS) required.
• ACLS preferred; PALS and TNCC also preferred.
