StaffFlex Registered Nurse - CVICU (36 hrs, $77/hr)

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a Registered Nurse for a StaffFlex contract in the CVICU, working 36 hours per week. StaffFlex nurses work contract assignments at one facility or float within multiple hospitals across 9 states, with no third-party agency involved. The advertised pay is $77.00 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients, analyze assessment data and develop individualized, evidence-based plans of care aligned with interdisciplinary goals.
• Implement interventions safely and document them, and collect and document patient health data systematically and timely.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following protocols and ensuring patient safety.
• Follow hospital policy for patient admission, discharge and transfer, and promote timely patient placement.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, procedures and care plans.
• Participate in peer interviewing and peer review, and contribute to quality, safety and effectiveness initiatives.
• Act as a patient advocate, ensure safe handoffs, follow CDC isolation guidelines and use PPE correctly.

Required profile

• Associate's degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license and BLS/CPR certification (required).
• Trauma Nurse Course Certified (TNCC) preferred.
• Fluent English (reading, speaking and writing).
• Additional licensure or certification may apply depending on the unit or state.

Required skills

• High-level abstract reasoning to assess patients and revise plans of care.
• Basic computer skills, including navigating Microsoft Windows programs.
