Staff Software Engineer, Full Stack

About the role

Cloaked is a consumer privacy and identity platform dedicated to giving people control over their personal data. We protect millions of identities and remove billions of records from data brokers. We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Full Stack to help build and scale our privacy platform, including identity, data‑removal, and payment products.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the roadmap and implementation of owned features, driving new functionality for existing and new products.
• Own greenfield product development, gaining experience in building brand‑new services.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—frontend, backend, design—to foster innovation and growth.
• Move seamlessly across the stack, delivering new features that delight customers.
• Tackle challenging scalability problems as the customer base expands.
• Elevate the team by bridging frontend and backend efforts.

Required profile

• Significant experience building and shipping production software end‑to‑end, preferably at a consumer or growth‑stage company.
• Strong front‑end fundamentals with the ability to create high‑quality, responsive user interfaces.
• Proficiency in Python or a similar object‑oriented language and experience building scalable backend systems.
• Comfortable using AI tooling (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) to accelerate development.
• Experience designing and deploying secure, production‑grade APIs.
• Deep understanding of databases, ORMs, and backend architecture patterns.
• Track record of owning end‑to‑end systems with sound architectural judgment.
• Familiarity with modern testing, CI/CD practices, and tooling.
