Staff Psychologist – Autism Spectrum Assessment Clinic

About the role

The University of Miami’s Autism Spectrum Assessment Clinic (ASAC) within the Center for Autism and Related Disabilities seeks a full‑time staff psychologist to provide comprehensive assessment, intervention, and consultation services for individuals across the lifespan.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct psychological evaluations, including diagnostic testing for autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and co‑occurring conditions.
• Provide evidence‑based interventions and consultation to clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Supervise doctoral student trainees and collaborate with CARD specialists and community professionals.
• Develop and expand outpatient services and telehealth offerings.
• Participate in clinical research and scholarly collaborations within the Department of Psychology.

Required profile

• Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in psychology.
• Licensed (or license‑eligible) to practice psychology in Florida.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
• Experience diagnosing and treating neurodevelopmental disorders, especially ASD.
• Proficiency in testing children and using evidence‑based ASD assessment tools.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Required skills

• Administration of the ADOS‑2 assessment.
