Staff Physician – Gastroenterology (Outpatient)

About the role

The University of Miami Health System seeks a Staff Physician to join its Gastroenterology and Hepatology clinical track. The physician will deliver outpatient care, perform endoscopic procedures, and support the opening of the new Solé Miá facility in North Miami.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct outpatient care to GI and Hepatology patients at UHealth Doral and/or Solé Miá (approximately 9 half‑days per week).
• Perform gastroenterology screening and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
• Maintain clinic and endoscopy schedules at both sites.
• Participate in night and weekend call rotations at UHealth and Jackson Memorial Hospital.
• Rotate on inpatient services at UHealth or Jackson Memorial Hospital as needed.

Required profile

• MD degree with ACGME‑accredited internal medicine internship, residency, and GI fellowship.
• Board‑eligible or board‑certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology/Hepatology.
• Unrestricted Florida medical license (or eligibility to obtain prior to credentialing).
• Valid DEA license, BLS, and ACLS certifications.
• Ability to provide procedure case logs for the prior two years.
