Staff Pharmacist – Train & Lead Pharmacy Technicians

About the role

The Staff Pharmacist will oversee pharmacy operations, train and develop pharmacy technicians, and ensure all pharmaceutical products meet the highest standards of accuracy and quality. This position requires deep knowledge of USP 795 and USP 800 compounding standards and strong leadership to optimize workflow.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and supervise daily pharmacy activities and technician performance.
• Train, develop, and monitor staff in compounding techniques and pharmacy software usage.
• Process prescriptions accurately using the pharmacy management system.
• Consult with patients and providers about compounded and traditional medications.
• Manage inventory, supply ordering, and ensure uninterrupted technician workflow.
• Maintain compliance with state regulations, PCAB standards, and good pharmacy practices.

Required profile

• Active pharmacist license in the state of employment.
• Proven leadership and staff‑management abilities.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and confidentiality skills.
• Detail‑oriented, dependable, and able to work under pressure.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lb.
