Staff Pharmacist

About the role

The Staff Pharmacist will compound and dispense medications in a hospital setting, ensuring safe and accurate delivery of therapy to patients. This safety‑sensitive position involves supervising support staff and collaborating with clinical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Review medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential interactions.
• Provide clinical consultation and patient counseling.
• Educate pharmacy staff and support continuous quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Manage pharmacist‑led dosing programs and participate in pharmacy‑related research.
• Serve on hospital committees and oversee pharmacy students and residents.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BSPH) from an accredited school.
• Active Arkansas pharmacy license (or licensure by reciprocity).
• Hospital pharmacy residency or prior hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Ability to perform frequent sitting, standing, walking and lift up to 35 lb.
• Normal vision and hearing; dexterity for close‑eye work and computer use.
