Staff Pharmacist - Full Time

About the role

Meijer is hiring a full-time Staff Pharmacist in Marion. The pharmacist must practice pharmacy in an environment that promotes patient care and education, and must be patient directed, clinically oriented and committed to taking the pharmacy to a higher level of patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians, hold them accountable for results and motivate them to perform at their best.
• Resolve patient needs through listening and good customer service.
• Act as agent of change and communicate effectively.
• Be competent on Meijer policies and procedures and on state and federal laws.
• In the absence of the pharmacist in charge, run pharmacy operations.
• Perform and oversee clinical services, including immunizations, where allowed.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Registered and licensed in the state of practice.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
• Retail/community practice experience.
• Excellent organization skills and ability to prioritize workload.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of pharmacy systems.
• Understanding of state regulations where the unit operates.
