Staff Pharmacist - Escanaba, MI (Sign-On Relocation)

About the role

Meijer is hiring a Staff Pharmacist for its Escanaba, MI store. As a licensed pharmacist, you ensure that patients receive the medication and care they need, practicing in an environment that promotes patient care and education, including consultations and immunizations. You also mentor and train pharmacy technicians. The position is sign-on eligible and relocation eligible for those who qualify.

Key responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians, hold them accountable for results and motivate them to perform at their best.
• Resolve patient needs through listening and customer service.
• Perform and oversee clinical services, including immunizations, where allowed.
• In the absence of the pharmacist in charge, be responsible for pharmacy operations.
• Be competent in Meijer policies and procedures and state and federal laws.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Registered and licensed pharmacist in the state of practice (Michigan).
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
• Retail/community practice experience.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of pharmacy systems and policies and procedures.
• Understanding of regulations in the state where the unit operates.
• Organization and prioritization skills.
