Staff Nurse I – Mother/Baby Care (Night Shift)

About the role

We are seeking a Staff Nurse I to provide comprehensive mother‑baby care on the night shift at California Pacific Medical Center. The role involves delivering holistic, individualized nursing care, coordinating interdisciplinary plans, and educating patients and families.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine nursing assignments, including assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of care.
• Provide direct patient care, education, and transitions of care for mothers and newborns.
• Develop and manage interdisciplinary care plans that consider psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors.
• Maintain collaborative communication with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare team members.
• Adhere to hospital policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements to ensure high‑quality patient experiences.
• Participate in continuous professional development and growth.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree in nursing.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification.

Required skills

• Knowledge of nursing theories, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.
• Familiarity with healthcare industry safety policies and patient privacy regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook).
• Experience using EPIC electronic health record system.
