Staff Accountant

About the role

Veta Virtual is seeking a Staff Accountant to support a high‑growth fintech and cryptocurrency client. The role focuses on digital‑asset accounting, monthly close processes, and financial reporting for a global crypto kiosk network.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain monthly roll‑forwards for BTC, ETH, LTC and other digital assets.
• Reconcile wallet balances to blockchain data and internal sub‑ledgers, handling data cleanup and exception resolution.
• Calculate fair market value and perform remeasurements for digital‑asset holdings.
• Process crypto donations, rewards, incentives and record hardware‑wallet activity.
• Post month‑end journal entries, perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Maintain fixed‑asset registers, depreciation schedules and assist with audit support packages.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• At least 2 years of accounting experience with journal entries, reconciliations and month‑end close.
• Working knowledge of cryptocurrency and blockchain fundamentals.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and general financial accounting principles.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel for reconciliations, reporting and data analysis.
• Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP system.
• Familiarity with Alteryx, Tableau or similar BI tools (preferred).
