SRQ Coordinator

About the role

Brenntag is looking for an SRQ Coordinator in Charlotte. The role tracks environmental regulations, manages documentation and handles reporting for internal HSE management and external authorities, supports audits, leads incident investigations with corrective actions, and provides HSE training and advice to personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Keep regulatory and safety training up to date
• Review accidents and help locations investigate serious incidents and develop corrective action plans
• Conduct or coordinate training on security, process safety, HM-126F, respirators, electrical, confined space entry, lockout/tag-out, hazardous waste, emergency response, forklift, hazard communication and emergency contingency plans
• Perform initial and annual hazardous waste management training and hazardous waste management functions at site
• Inspect the hazardous waste storage area weekly, schedule shipments, ensure proper manifesting and storage, and reduce hazardous waste through process or procedure changes
• Maintain driver qualification files and take part in safety meetings and committees
• Provide customer training, support the NACD Responsible Distribution Process, and take part in emergency response situations
• Meet regulatory reporting requirements and carry out additional duties assigned by the Regional SRQ Manager or local Operations Manager

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, regulatory or a related field
• 2-4 years of experience in safety, quality and/or health compliance roles
• Detailed, analytical and proactive approach to safety, quality and health risks

Required skills

• Knowledge of Hazardous Communication standards, OSHA regulations and other safety and health guidelines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Experience with documentation tools such as TraceGains, SharePoint or ERP systems
