Sr. Systems Engineer

About the role

Atlas Technica is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join its Support team in New York. This hybrid position combines advanced technical support, systems administration, and infrastructure troubleshooting for hedge‑fund and investment‑firm clients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advanced remote and onsite IT support across assigned client environments and act as an escalation point for junior engineers.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Intune, Teams, Entra ID) and Windows Server/Active Directory infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot networking, virtualization, cybersecurity, and Azure workloads, and support enterprise networking hardware.
• Maintain technical documentation, follow change‑control procedures, and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in systems engineering, administration, or infrastructure support within a managed‑service environment.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑first mindset, able to work both remotely and onsite in the New York area.

Required skills

• Microsoft 365 suite (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Intune, Teams, Entra ID).
• Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and endpoint‑management technologies.
• Virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper‑V.
• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, VPN, routing, switching, firewalls).
• Enterprise networking hardware (Palo Alto, Cisco, Meraki, Ubiquiti).
• Microsoft Azure services and cloud infrastructure.
• Scripting/automation with PowerShell or Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools.
