Sr Financial Analyst

About the role

The Sr Financial Analyst leads financial analysis, accounting, forecasting, and reporting activities for Ochsner. The role involves managing special projects, supervising staff, and serving as a resource for operational management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate, and participate in financial analysis, accounting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Supervise and train departmental staff, reviewing their work product.
• Review monthly financial statements, identify expense trends, and make recommendations.
• Create and monitor surveys, performance reports, and key business indicators.
• Ensure quality improvement through professional standards, QA data analysis, and audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field; Master's preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of healthcare finance experience, including project coordination and deadline-driven work.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Leadership ability and experience supervising staff.

Required skills

• Computer proficiency for data entry and retrieval.
• Ability to use Windows‑style applications.
