Financial Analyst – Clinical Research

About the role

The Financial Analyst – Clinical Research supports the finance function for Ochsner’s clinical research operations. Under moderate supervision, the analyst prepares monthly financial statements, maintains data sources, and assists with budgeting and ad‑hoc reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Update and maintain financial information and databases.
• Provide reporting and analytics to ensure operational profitability.
• Identify opportunities for revenue enhancement.
• Participate in budget formation and quality‑assurance activities.
• Support special projects involving financial analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Math, Computer Science or related field, or 10 years relevant experience.
• Experience in financial analysis, forecasting, reporting, preferably within the healthcare industry; CPA certification preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Windows‑based applications and standard office software packages.
• Strong data‑entry and information‑retrieval abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication for presenting financial information.
