Sr. Director, Data Platform

About the role

Quorum Software, a rapidly growing company and industry leader in oil and gas digital transformation, is hiring a Senior Director, Data Platform. The role owns the vision, execution, adoption and operation of a cross-segment data platform that underpins the company's Agentic Platform, which uses its data for AI agents and agentic workflows. It reports to the VP, Platform and Architecture and leads a team of 4 to 8 engineers. The position is based in Houston, Texas or remotely in the United States, with a hybrid model in Houston and remote with travel elsewhere.

Key responsibilities

• Be the single accountable owner of the platform, including its operation.
• Own the technical vision and architecture for operational data and analytics.
• Drive adoption so product teams use the platform, integrate and deliver faster, with more reliable platforms and less duplicated work across segments.
• Advocate for the platform with product segment leaders, keeping them informed of capabilities and roadmap.
• Build cross-product data products that no single segment can own and deliver them with the Data Platform product manager.
• Own entity resolution across Quorum products: one resolved record per real-world entity (well, meter, business associate) with sources and survivorship rules.
• Own the event backbone and the publishing contract used by product teams to integrate.
