Sr Application Architect - Hadoop Administrator

About the role

HCSC is hiring a Senior Application Architect / Hadoop Administrator for a fully remote position within the continental United States (excluding California, New York, Alaska and Hawaii). The role ensures that project-specific designs align with the application architecture roadmap and acts as subject matter expert for products that need to integrate into the application.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure project-specific designs align with the application architecture roadmap
• Support project and/or product teams on functional and technical design activities
• Define the interaction between application packages, databases and middleware systems to optimize product functional coverage
• Act as subject matter expert for products requiring integration into the application

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of information technology experience, or technical certification and/or college courses and 7 years of IT experience, or 9 years of IT experience
• Experience in application and/or product feature design, application configuration and application development platforms and languages
• Experience in cloud computing (SaaS / PaaS), DevOps and continuous deployment/integration tools, integration technologies, agile or Scrum development and solution architecture
• Preferred: deep Linux knowledge, core Hadoop ecosystem knowledge (HDFS, YARN, MapReduce), cluster monitoring tools, Hive/HBase/Spark/Sqoop, configuration management tools, and Java, Python or Scala

What we offer

• Base pay range of $112,200 to $202,600, varying with skills, experience and location
