Analytics and Reporting Consultant

About the role

HCSC is hiring an Analytics and Reporting Consultant for a fully remote position, open to candidates who can work from anywhere in the continental United States except California, New York, Alaska and Hawaii. The role creates reports, insights and analytics for a division, turning data into actionable information for business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Create reports, insights and analytics in support of the division, and write specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs
• Consult with users and lead cross-functional teams to address the division's issues
• Produce datasets and reports for analysis using system reporting tools, and possibly perform research on strategic initiatives
• Act as a bridge between the business and divisional data teams to build tools that support actionable analysis
• Analyze complex business problems using internal and external data to give decision-makers insight, and identify trends and patterns in datasets
• Work closely with customers to build relationships and deepen understanding of the division's data

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree and 4 years of analytical experience in relationship management or driving analytics insights into action, or 9 years of such experience
• Experience gathering and documenting business requirements for information-related strategies
• Experience solving complex problems and taking a new perspective on existing solutions
• Preferred: bachelor's degree in business, engineering or mathematics, master's degree, healthcare experience in business development, business analytics or innovation management

Required skills

• Knowledge of software development processes, including SDLC and Agile methodologies
• Experience creating and delivering presentations
• Experience leading functional teams and projects
• Experience with SAS, SPSS, R, MATLAB, SQL and Python
• PC proficiency with Microsoft Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint

What we offer

• Base pay range of $84,400 to $152,300, varying with skills, experience and location
