Sports Medicine Sales Associate - Seattle

About the role

Stryker, a global medical technology company, is hiring a field-based sales associate for its Sports Medicine specialty in Seattle, WA. As the face of Stryker products, you will assist Sales Representatives in selling, promoting and marketing Stryker products to doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals, and you will tailor the promotional message to each customer after completing product training.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Sales Representatives in the sales, promotion and marketing of Stryker products.
• Educate doctors, nurses and other staff on the proper use, maintenance, functionality and updates of Stryker products, as well as product portfolio changes and educational programs.
• Tailor the promotional message based on knowledge of the customer, advise on product selection and answer questions about product functionality.
• Distinguish Stryker products from competitors' products.
• Negotiate price and terms of transactions with customers and resolve customer complaints and questions.
• Analyze territory market potential and prioritize call patterns accordingly.

Required profile

• 0-2 years of experience in an outside sales position; medical-related fields preferred.
• B.A. or B.S. degree required.
• Successful completion of in-house product training program.
• Ability to communicate with large groups and by telephone, and to drive an automobile.
• Up to 20% overnight travel annually.

Required skills

• Command of all Stryker products, including functionality, features and differentiators.
• Ability to use common office equipment such as a PC, fax and calculator.
• Results-driven, confident communicator and strategic closer who exceeds quarterly sales quotas.
