Sports Medicine Sales Associate - Lima, OH

About the role

Stryker, a global medical technology company, is hiring a field-based sales associate for its Sports Medicine specialty in Lima, Ohio. You will act as the face of Stryker products and support Sales Representatives in selling, promoting and marketing them. The role involves educating doctors, nurses and other staff on the proper use and maintenance of products, and tailoring the promotional message to each customer.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Sales Representatives in the sales, promotion and marketing of Stryker products.
• Educate doctors, nurses and other staff on product use, maintenance, functionality, updates, portfolio changes and educational programs.
• Tailor the promotional message based on knowledge of the customer and advise on product selection.
• Answer customer questions on product functionality and distinguish Stryker products from competitors' offerings.
• Negotiate price and terms of transactions with customers and resolve customer complaints and questions.
• Analyze territory market potential and prioritize call patterns accordingly.

Required profile

• 0-2 years in an outside sales position; medical-related experience preferred.
• B.A. or B.S. degree required.
• Successful completion of in-house product training.
• Ability to communicate with large groups and by telephone, and to use common office equipment.
• Ability to drive an automobile and to travel up to 20% overnight per year.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds constantly.
