Specialty Lending Analyst / Associate (Tampa)

About the role

LCG Advisors is expanding its Specialty Lending Group in Tampa, FL. The Analyst/Associate will work directly with institutional lenders, private credit funds, and banks, performing deep collateral and operational due diligence across diverse industries such as consumer finance, healthcare, and technology.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct financial and operational due diligence, including on‑site or remote examinations and portfolio reviews.
• Develop and use Excel‑based workpapers to execute scoped procedures for each project.
• Evaluate complex portfolios and credit structures within client‑defined scopes.
• Collaborate with senior team members to identify risks, reconcile data, and assess performance.
• Interact regularly with clients via calls, meetings, and email updates.
• Engage with subject‑company stakeholders to gather operational updates and clarify scope of work.
• Prepare comprehensive written reports summarizing findings, trends, and risk factors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (other degrees considered with relevant experience).
• Interest or exposure to asset‑based lending, consumer finance, specialty finance, healthcare, or venture debt (not mandatory).
• Strong analytical mindset, curiosity for financial and operational data, and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines in a client‑service environment.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Experience with data extraction tools or programs.
