About the role

As a Specialized Tax Services – Energy Incentives & Credits Director at PwC, you will lead the delivery of tax advice and solutions for clients operating in complex, niche areas such as accounting methods, fixed‑assets, and research & development tax credits. You will shape the strategic direction of the practice, drive business development, and maintain executive‑level client relationships while upholding PwC’s standards of quality and integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic tax planning initiatives to optimise client tax positions in areas like accounting methods and R&D tax credits.
• Develop and implement innovative tax solutions for the energy incentives and credits sector.
• Identify market opportunities, convert them into successful client engagements and drive business growth.
• Mentor and develop emerging leaders within the tax services team, fostering an inclusive culture.
• Collaborate with executive‑level clients to align engagements with their strategic objectives.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in tax consulting or related fields.
• Professional credential such as CPA, Bar membership, or other tax/finance‑specific qualification.
