Special Education Teacher (Moderate/Severe) – 2026-2027

About the role

The Santa Ana Unified School District is seeking qualified educators to join the Eligibility Pool for the 2026-2027 school year as Moderate/Severe Special Education Teachers. This position supports students with extensive support needs in a classroom setting, ensuring they receive high‑quality, individualized instruction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver curriculum tailored to moderate and severe disabilities.
• Collaborate with support staff, families, and related service providers to create individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and compliance with state regulations.
• Participate in professional development and district meetings.

Required profile

• Valid California Education Specialist Extensive Support Needs Instruction Credential or Education Specialist Moderate/Severe Disabilities Instruction Credential with Bridge authorization.
• Current EL Authorization (or credential that includes it).
• Three recent letters of recommendation with wet signatures.
• Online EDJoin application, cover letter addressed to Jennifer Flores, and resume.
• If credential pending, a letter from the university stating expected completion date.

Required skills
