Special Education Teacher – 1-3 SDC (M/M)

About the role

The Manteca Unified School District is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for Shasta Elementary School. This position supports students with extensive, mild to moderate, and moderate/severe disabilities across grades 1‑3.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver specialized instruction aligned with California Education Specialist credentials.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse support needs.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to ensure inclusive learning environments.
• Maintain accurate records, assessments, and progress reports.
• Participate in district‑wide professional development and teacher induction programs.

Required profile

• Valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential with endorsements for Extensive Support Needs, Mild to Moderate Support Needs, Moderate/Severe Disabilities, or Early Childhood Special Education, OR an approved Bridge Document.
• Completion of pre‑employment requirements (TB clearance, fingerprinting) at employee cost.
• Ability to provide two recent professional recommendation letters.
• Proof of CBEST and EL Authorization if not embedded in credential.
