Special Agent: Cybersecurity/Technology Background

About the role

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is seeking highly motivated individuals with a cybersecurity or technology background to become Special Agents. In this role you will apply your technical expertise to protect the nation from cyber‑attacks, terrorism, fraud and other evolving threats.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze complex data sets to identify patterns, indicators and evidence related to national‑security threats.
• Support investigations into cybercrime, terrorism, fraud and violent offenses.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop investigative strategies and operational plans.
• Prepare and present analytical findings to senior agents and prosecutors.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of emerging technologies and threat vectors.
