Spanish‑Speaking Representation Staff Attorney (Remote)

About the role

Political Asylum Lawyers is seeking a Spanish‑speaking Representation Staff Attorney to join its remote team. The attorney will work from home while being located within an hour’s drive of a nondetained Immigration Court in Orlando, Dallas, or Houston, and will appear regularly in court and USCIS asylum interviews.

Key responsibilities

• Appear in Immigration Court for Master Calendar Hearings, Individual Hearings, and related proceedings at least twice a week.
• Conduct affirmative asylum interviews with USCIS on behalf of clients.
• Prepare clients for testimony, ensuring they are ready to present their stories effectively.
• Follow structured workflow processes and utilize AI‑driven tools to build strong cases.
• Travel nationally for up to two short trips per month as required.

Required profile

• Licensed attorney admitted to the bar in the United States.
• Fluent in Spanish with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly.
• Resides within an hour of a nondetained Immigration Court in the specified cities.
• Comfortable with frequent courtroom and interview advocacy.
• Demonstrates resilience, strategic thinking, and sound judgment.
