Spanish Speaking Associate Attorney

About the role

G.J. Chavez & Associates, P.C. is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Spanish Speaking Associate Attorney to join its Plano, TX office. The attorney will support the firm’s diverse practice areas, including medical‑claims litigation, family law, criminal defense, estate planning, collections and general litigation, while providing bilingual service to Spanish‑speaking clients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and representation across the firm’s practice areas.
• Conduct thorough legal research and draft memoranda, pleadings, and motions.
• Negotiate settlements and communicate case strategy with clients and opposing counsel.
• Manage case files, meet filing deadlines, and collaborate with senior attorneys on complex matters.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with Texas Bar regulations.

Required profile

• Admission to the State Bar of Texas.
• Fluency in Spanish, both oral and written.
• Demonstrated experience providing legal advice and conducting research.
• Strong oral and written communication abilities.
• Capacity to work independently while contributing to team efforts on larger cases.
