Solutions Consultant – FinTech Pre‑Sales

About the role

Join BILL as a Solutions Consultant to help finance and accounting teams modernize money movement. You will act as a trusted technical advisor for Mid‑Market and Accountant Channel sales, translating complex workflows and API integrations into clear, business‑focused solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead discovery sessions with business and technical stakeholders to capture current processes, pain points, and success criteria across payments, approvals, and accounting workflows.
• Translate findings into solution designs, build tailored product demos, and advise on integrating BILL with ERP and accounting systems.
• Serve as a pre‑sales partner, answering product, workflow, and integration questions, and develop technical responses for RFPs/RFIs.
• Collaborate with Sales, Enablement, and Product teams to improve discovery practices, demo narratives, and share prospect insights for product enhancements.

Required profile

• 5+ years of SaaS pre‑sales or solutions consulting experience, preferably with finance/accounting stakeholders.
• Strong discovery, solution‑design, and executive‑level presentation skills.
• Hands‑on experience discussing APIs and integrations with technical audiences and simplifying concepts for business users.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent.

Required skills

• APIs and integration concepts.
• Familiarity with ERP/accounting systems such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics GP or Business Central.
• Experience preparing technical RFP/RFI responses.
