Software Engineer – New York City

About the role

We are looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our fast‑growing engineering team in New York City. You will design, build, and scale high‑quality software systems that power our core products while collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable, user‑focused solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines.
• Contribute to architecture decisions, performance tuning, and system monitoring.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong problem‑solving and debugging abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross‑functional environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least one modern language: Python, Java, Go, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Experience building scalable backend services, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
• Understanding of microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL.
• Exposure to modern frontend frameworks like React.
