Software Engineer, Integrations

About the role

We are seeking an Integration Engineer who will design, build, and own API‑driven integrations that connect systems, services, and data for mission‑critical work. The role is hands‑on, focusing on writing code, developing backend services, and managing the full integration lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain APIs and backend integration services using Python and Java.
• Own end‑to‑end API development, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and production support.
• Maintain and enhance existing Java‑based services while contributing to a transition toward Python.
• Build and support RESTful APIs with robust error handling, performance optimization, and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to translate requirements into scalable integration solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement fixes and enhancements.
• Contribute to integration pipelines using tools such as Databricks and AWS Lambda.
• Write clean, well‑tested code, participate in peer reviews, and document technical designs.
• Support secure engineering practices and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience building software applications, backend services, or APIs.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Python and Java development.
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting REST APIs.
• Familiarity with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proficiency with Git‑based source control (GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
