Software Engineer III – Security/Privacy

About the role

Google Cloud Security and Privacy is seeking a Software Engineer III to design, develop, test, and maintain security and privacy solutions that protect data at massive scale. You will work on critical projects that enable customers to securely adopt Google Cloud services while ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and ship software components for identity and access management, data privacy, and security monitoring.
• Design scalable, high‑performance systems and contribute to large‑scale data analysis and visualization tools.
• Diagnose, debug, and resolve complex system issues across the full stack.
• Write automated tests and ensure code health, reliability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate security and privacy features into Google Cloud products.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of professional experience programming in C++, Java, or Go.
• Minimum 2 years building software for data privacy, security, or identity and access management.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and experience with performance analysis, debugging, and large‑scale system design.
