Software Engineer II – Cloud‑Native Full‑Stack Development

About the role

Mastercard’s Business Experimentation and Optimization (BE&O) team is looking for a technically strong Software Engineer II to design, build, and evolve a next‑generation experimentation platform. You will work on cloud‑native, full‑stack applications that enable data‑driven decision making for global businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full‑stack applications across frontend, backend, API, and data‑processing layers.
• Build and enhance services and APIs that support experimentation, analytics, and data‑driven decision‑making.
• Develop and optimise data‑intensive applications using Databricks, Spark and related technologies.
• Contribute to architecture and system design, evaluating technical trade‑offs for reliability, security and maintainability.
• Translate business and product requirements into well‑designed technical solutions in partnership with product, data engineering, QA and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Technically strong software engineer with experience delivering cloud‑native, full‑stack solutions.
• Ability to work across the full software development lifecycle, from architecture to testing and continuous improvement.
