Software Engineer – Identity Platform

About the role

Twilio is looking for a Software Engineer (L2) to join the Stytch team and help build the next generation of identity products. You will work on backend systems that power authentication, authorization, and emerging agentic and non‑human identity use cases for Twilio’s global customer base.

Key responsibilities

• Design and ship new API surfaces and core authentication flows for the Stytch identity platform.
• Partner with product and engineering leadership to translate customer needs into high‑impact features.
• Collaborate across Twilio and Stytch teams to align architecture and integrate platform capabilities.
• Own technical decisions, author design docs, review code, and maintain production quality.
• Build in ambiguity, make pragmatic trade‑offs, and create developer experiences that delight customers.
• Improve observability, incident response, and system resilience.
• Mentor and support fellow engineers through pairing and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience designing and implementing backend systems.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑ownership environment.
