Software Engineer – Edge AI

About the role

The Edge AI team builds the software that runs inside vehicles, handling on‑device AI, data collection, and connected features. This hands‑on role is for an early‑career engineer who will design and implement native services that operate under strict CPU, memory and latency constraints.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement native C++/Rust services for Linux, Android and QNX vehicle targets.
• Develop the telemetry platform for on‑vehicle signal collection, diagnostics and fleet‑wide reporting.
• Improve high‑throughput Wi‑Fi and cellular upload paths for ADAS and camera data.
• Deploy and optimise ML models on vehicle NPUs for speech recognition, synthesis and wake‑word detection.
• Instrument code for field debugging, benchmark performance and defend against regressions.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of software engineering experience or a BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Demonstrated experience building complex software systems (e.g., hackathons, internships, open‑source contributions, production work).
• Strong Linux and systems fundamentals, including processes, threading, memory management and IPC.
• Proficiency in either C++ or Rust and ability to debug with gdb, perf or strace.
