About the role

Anthropic is seeking a product‑focused software engineer to build internal tools that empower teams across the company. You will work at the intersection of engineering, product, and design, owning outcomes from concept through delivery while collaborating closely with end‑users.

Key responsibilities

• Rapidly design, prototype, and ship full‑stack features across backend, frontend, and infrastructure.
• Consult with users and stakeholders to understand workflows and identify high‑impact opportunities.
• Distill recurring user requests into reusable primitives, platforms, or middleware.
• Build tools that maximize autonomy and creative freedom for less‑technical users.
• Make product and prioritization decisions, iterating quickly based on feedback.
• Continuously adopt new tools, frameworks, and domains as the product evolves.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience building production software, ideally full‑stack.
• Ability to operate independently, taking a product from idea to shipped solution.
• Systems‑thinking mindset, seeing the platform behind feature requests.
• Strong focus on empowering users and delivering outcomes that solve real problems.
• Comfort with ambiguity and decision‑making with incomplete information.
