About the role

Blossom Health is building an AI‑native platform that expands access to affordable, timely mental health care. As a Software Engineer in New York City you will join a fast‑growing Series A startup and own end‑to‑end features that directly impact clinicians and patients.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, reliable systems that power core product workflows.
• Write high‑quality code balancing speed of delivery with technical rigor.
• Own system reliability, including uptime, observability, and performance.
• Leverage cutting‑edge AI and large‑language‑model capabilities to create intuitive clinician and patient experiences.
• Conduct thoughtful code reviews and mentor teammates to raise engineering standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience in high‑quality environments.
• Ownership mindset with a focus on long‑term business and customer impact.
• Comfort with ambiguity, autonomy, and rapid iteration.
• Authorized to work in the United States and able to work onsite in NYC five days a week.

Required skills

• Proficiency in TypeScript.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience building production‑grade systems end‑to‑end.
• Familiarity with LLM‑powered applications or AI integration.
